After a tragic accident that took the life of former Junior Karate Champion Seleny Joanne Crosby. Senseis David & Seleny, in loving memory of their adorable daughter, changed again the name of their Dojo to Seleny Joanne Karate (SJK) and re-opened in Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
Both Senseis are accredited coaches and national referees of the United States National Karate Federation and AAU. They teach quality Karate because they love martial arts, and want to keep expanding traditional martial arts to children and adults. Senseis David and Seleny Crosby, don’t look for profit when teaching but to promote new champions. Their spirituality and passion to promote the sports from a Family-oriented perspective, make a difference…

About SJ Karate Club
Fight School has specialized in martial arts since 1986 and has one of the most innovative programs in the nation.
We teach martial arts because we love it — not because we want to make money on you. Unlike other martial arts schools, we do not require you to sign long term contracts. You just pay one low monthly fee for your martial arts and self defense classes at the beginning of each month.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
“Sensei and his family know their stuff!
Disciplined in their practice, and you can feel their passion for what they do. Only a month in, and I feel like the Karate Kid, Bruce Lee-Enter the Dragon level🤣 Highly recommended!!”

“Excellent Karate dojo and exceptional teachers ( Seinse’s) very professional and knowledgeable I will suggest if you have any children to bring them to study this discipline. Now, if you do not like pushing your children, do not waste your time because he will ensure that they work and learn. If you have the opportunity to enroll them in this dojo, you will not regret it. Oss sensei!”
Carlos vasquez, Tulsa, OK
Carlos Vasquez, Broken Arrow,
“I have to say to their parents that their children are in the right place with the right Senseis. Great work like always Sensei David Crosby and Seleny Crosby.”
Ethan Smith, Riverton
“Karate has helped both of my girls tremendously. Their physical abilities and conditions exceed most children of their age.
The greatest improvement is increased concentration and the ability to focus on tasks at hand. It is obvious the benefits of karate extend into all facets of their lives; from school work achievements to personal self confidence.”

SJ Karate Dojo has been part of our family for 8 years. Our son began taking classes at the original location in San Antonio, Texas when he was in preschool; he earned his green belt at age 12. Our daughter, who sat in the lobby as a toddler and watched classes, began her own training at 4-1/2 years old. She earned her green belt this October 2014 in South Jordan, Utah. Both kids developed power, self-defense skills, and the capacity to perform choreographed katas with amazing focus. Our favorite part of Karate Kids, though, was having a wonderful, long-term relationship with Sensei Seleny. She has been a favorite teacher from the very beginning together with her husband Sensei David. Thanks so much to both of you!
Lisa Whistler, San Antonio
What’s the number one rule of Karate? Always try your best! Truer words were never spoken. I’m going to try MY best to convey how happy I am, that my kids go to SJ Karate Dojo. For several years I have watched them take that rule and apply it not just in the Dojo, but in everyday life. I’ve seen them apply it at home, at school, and in the community. I’ve watched my kids grow more confident. I’ve seen them become more self aware. I’ve marveled at how respectful they are to others. A good deal of that can be attributed directly to what they’ve learned while taking classes
here. It’s a wonderful atmosphere, where families come together to watch their kids learn not just a skill. But, discipline and respect as well.
– A proud SJ Karate Dojo Parent
